Meals are delivered to their dependent children, too.
Referral from a Case Manager, Social Worker or Physician is required. Ongoing client contact by the referral source is required in order to re-certify client eligibility for services every six (6) months.
Clients must meet the following eligibility qualifications:
- Client must be mentally or physically unable to prepare meals for themselves
- A current diagnosis letter identifying the type of cancer must be provided by a physician
- Client must be a resident of San Diego County and under the age of 60
- Client must provide documentation of current income
Meals are delivered on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday; our delivery hours in Central San Diego are 4:00 – 6:00pm, and in North and East County 3:00 – 5:00pm.
Our Executive Chef prepares 11 meal plans to meet clients’ individual nutritional requirements. With a six week menu cycle, we supply 100% of the daily nutrition recommended by the American Dietetic Association for people with cancer.

Supported by the San Diego Affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the Breast Cancer Outreach Project reaches out to residents of San Diego County under age 60 who have breast cancer and cannot prepare their own meals, and connects them with our life-saving Critical Illness Nutrition Program.
