Tree of Life | December 1, 2017
Each year Mama’s Kitchen and Village Hillcrest commemorate World AIDS Day by recognizing and remembering those affected by AIDS, as well as the ongoing leadership efforts made to end the epidemic. It is an evening of memories, singing, sharing, and a candle lighting to honor those affected by AIDS. Donation of $15 is requested for each personalized ornament to hang on the tree through December. Two ornaments can be personalized for $25.
Eclipse Chocolate Chari-Tree | December 1, 2017
This year, Eclipse Chocolate is collecting charitable donations for the less fortunate, with handmade paper ornaments that will decorate our sparkly “Chari-Trees”. Every cent of each $10 ornament will be a donation to Mama’s Kitchen, providing nutrition to those with critical illnesses.
As a community thank you, they will randomly choose an ornament during each day of their “Twelve Days of Xmas” to win a prize. The grand prize will be “A Year Of Chocolate” — two dozen tickets to their Build-A-Bar event series, which can be personally enjoyed or individually gifted to friends!
Looking for another great way to give back this summer? Drop off non-perishable food donations on the 1st or 3rd Sunday of every month for Mama’s Pantry at Ralphs Hillcrest (9:00 a.m. to 3:00 pm) or at Ralphs Mission Valley (9:30 a.m. to 3:30 pm). Look for the big, red barrels!
