Our dedicated team of volunteers makes it possible for Mama’s Kitchen to provide the nutrition and compassion to the men, women and children of San Diego who are affected by AIDS or cancer.

Every weekday, our volunteers give their time and energy to prepare meals, pack grocery bags, answer phones and assist our Pantry clients with their shopping.

On Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays our delivery volunteers pick up meals in the late afternoon either at the Kitchen or one of our satellite pickup locations in North County to deliver directly to our clients in their homes.  Our greatest need is for delivery volunteers, especially in North County.

On weekends our volunteers operate food drives for our Pantry at local super markets. Special Events and Committee volunteers help out at various locations and times throughout the year.

Our family of volunteers provides critical support for our mission and all the difference in the lives of our clients, whether they volunteer for a few hours a day, a week or a month. Many of our volunteers have made new friends that last a lifetime!
