Bourbon Street Hosts 10 th Annual Wine Taste for Mama's Kitchen
SAN DIEGO – Mark your calendars for Thursday, August 25 th as Mama's Kitchen teams up with Bourbon Street for the tenth anniversary year of the annual wine tasting event. This year's theme The Perfect 10! symbolizes the perfect relationship that has developed between Mama's Kitchen and Bourbon Street since the popular University Heights bar opened its doors ten years ago to benefit the local charity. Proceeds from the Wine Taste will provide the necessary funds needed to help Mama's Kitchen continue to provide nutritional services to people affected by HIV/AIDS in San Diego County .
The Perfect 10! features entertainment by Ashley Mette, five different types of specialty wines donated by Southern Wine and Spirits, outstanding hors d'oeuvres donated by local caterers and restaurants, and a silent auction.
Bourbon Street is located at 4612 Park Boulevard . The wine tasting event begins at 6 p.m., and tickets for the event are $40 per person with all proceeds benefiting Mama's Kitchen. About Mama's Kitchen
Mama's Kitchen was founded in 1990 when volunteers from the AIDS Assistance Fund, a food bank for people with AIDS, discovered that many of their clients were becoming too ill to take care of themselves. They realized that a reliable home meal delivery service was needed to ensure that these individuals would continue to receive nutritious food. Today, Mama's Kitchen prepares and delivers three meals a day for every day of the week to about 300 men, women, and children affected by AIDS or other critical illnesses in San Diego County.
