Calling All Men and “Wo”men to Man-Up for Mama!

What: Man Diego, a Team Tournament Style Olympic Bar Games Competition
Where: True North Tavern, 3815 30th Street, San Diego
When: Wednesday, March 30, 6:00-9:00 p.m.

Grab a teammate, roll up your sleeves and show off your bar game prowess! True North Tavern is hosting a fundraiser for Mama's Kitchen where teams of two will compete in bar games for a chance to win prizes and the title of Man Diego Champion. Games include Tailgate Washer Toss, Quarters, and 'Ring Around the Beerhead.' Score high enough on these events to advance to the elimination rounds, including Red Cup Tower Relay, Cut Throat Pool and 'Out-Eat Pete' – a taco eating contest against True North's resident taco-eating champion!

Executive Director's Message

For close to 17 years Mama's Kitchen has called a church basement home, and this home has served us well. Since our lease is not being renewed, this chapter in our history will soon come to a close as we move on, literally and figuratively.
