Our Mission
At Mama's Kitchen we believe that every person is entitled to the basic necessity of life, nutritious food. As a volunteer-driven, nonprofit organization, we prepare and deliver food to men, women and children who are affected by AIDS or cancer.
In their words...thoughts from our clients.
Our clients' words are a heartfelt reminder that the work we are doing -- with the help of our amazing and generous volunteers and donors -- has a huge impact on the lives of our critically ill neighbors.
"Every one of you that helps aid the Kitchen in any way, God bless you... I can honestly say there have been times when my meal delivery was all I had to eat and look forward to... I have so very much respect for every one of you involved in making the Kitchen work for so very many people. God knows... how many people, such as myself, that are still alive because of you. All of you are very special people and I am truly humbly grateful for your help and always going that extra mile."

The number of children we feed who are dependents of cancer clients increased dramatically in 2011, up 69.7%.
In Memoriam: Elaine LipinskyMama's Kitchen lost a longtime friend in September with the passing of Elaine Lipinsky. Elaine was an annual supporter of Mama's Kitchen through the Elaine Lipinsky Family Foundation, and had an impact not only on our organization but in the broader community. Elaine was also involved in the development of our capital campaign collateral and as a member of the campaign communications committee, providing valuable perspective. She was spirited and generous, and always willing to help. We will miss Elaine and remember her always.
