heart-1I was going through chemo and radiation treatment. I was in bed for weeks. I could not do a thing, let alone fixing myself something to eat. I don’t have many visitors so I look forward to those few minutes when my food is dropped off by Mama’s family of volunteers for a few minutes of talking, and they ALWAYS smile. That means a lot to me; it’s not much for some people but it meals A LOT to me! I have side affects from chemo where I need a hip and both knees replaced. It is so painful to walk, stand, or even get in a car to go the store. Without Mama’s help I would not be able to get food, but most of all I would miss her helpers’ words of love and their kind smiles. It makes me sad just to think of it.”
