Mama’s Kitchen continues to fill a need in our community by providing free, nutritious meals to men, women and children who are affected by AIDS or cancer. We offer a variety of meal plans to meet our clients’ nutritional requirements, and our meals are lovingly prepared and hand-delivered by hundreds of dedicated volunteers. Mama’s Pantry Service provides a free once-a-month shopping opportunity for low-income HIV-positive individuals, to help them add nutrition to their diet and stretch their budget. During our 2016 fiscal year (July 1, 2015 – June 30, 2016), Mama’s Kitchen prepared and delivered 348,258 meals to 630 individuals living with AIDS or cancer. This included 45,939 meals for the children of our clients. In addition, we provided 74,280 meal-equivalents to 757 Pantry clients.
