Mama’skitchen-vols2 Kitchen helps people in our community who are struggling with AIDS or cancer get a second chance at life by providing 100% nutrition to them during their illness. Often when illness strikes, our clients have nowhere to turn and are too sick to shop and cook for themselves and their children. It’s our mission to take care of these people. We have never turned away someone who qualifies for our services and are determined that we never will.

In September, our volunteers prepared and delivered 26,235 meals to 329 community members in need, including 35 dependent children, thorough our Home-Delivered Meals Program. Mama’s Pantry helped 388 low-income HIV+ individuals by providing the equivalent of 5,820 meals. And our Emergency Food Assistance Program distributed 273 meals to 13 clients. In addition, our Registered Dietitian provided Medical Nutrition Therapy to 4 clients, including individualized nutrition strategies tailored to meet their specific nourishment needs.
