Food drives can be a fun and easy way of supporting Mama’s Kitchen! Food drives help keep our food expenses to a minimum. The nonperishable items collected (click here for our wish list) help stock our shelves at Mama’s Pantry. Just contact us and we’ll arrange to deliver a food barrel to your door and pick it up when it’s full!
Organize a food drive at:
Your place of worship
Your office/place of employment
At a private party or house party
Your school, association, or club
Or host an online Virtual Food Drive! Hosting a Virtual Food Drive provides perishable staples such as poultry, beef, cheese and milk for our Mama’s Pantry clients. Your donation dollars go directly to the purchase of perishable food and are stretched further with our ability to use wholesale prices. Click here to or contact Ben Coyle at email@example.com to set up your own.
Your business, school, or service organization can adopt one of over 34 delivery routes around San Diego County. Meals are delivered as a team, with one person acting as the team captain and contact person for Mama’s Kitchen. Each week, one or two members of your team will deliver your adopted route. It’s a great way to build teamwork in your organization. Email firstname.lastname@example.org to get started.
Gifts in-kind are gifts of services and goods. Support Mama’s Kitchen by donating your technical expertise and professional services. Other in-kind gifts include food from food drives, office supplies, auction items for our fundraising events, and items for volunteer recognition programs.
Turn Your Party into a Benefit to Support Mama’s Clients.
When you host a party for any occasion, ask your guests to make a donation to Mama’s Kitchen instead of bringing a gift. You can set up your own personal page and share it with friends and family. All who contribute will receive a thank you from Mama’s Kitchen. Click here for your Fundraiser Toolkit.
Introduce Mama’s Kitchen to Others.
Word of mouth is our best source of referrals for volunteers and donations. We need your help introducing Mama’s Kitchen to acquaintances, businesses, celebrities, friends, and family members who share our concern for people living with AIDS or cancer.
